Antique Dressing Mirror Table 

This is a lovely original Victorian mahogany dressing table swing mirror or toilet mirror in good condition with a domed top and stunning color patination to the mahogany. This piece keeps all the charm and character of the period. 

The mirror plate maintains its originality and is supported on two "S" shaped solid mahogany supports with turned handles. 

The use of mirrors has a long and appealing history that stretches across the world and dates back centuries. Made during the reign of Queen Victoria, between 1837-1901, Victorian mirrors were crafted with unique characteristics typically heavily carved, with bold decoration in gilt but more often in woods such as mahogany and rosewood.

Condition: please see the picture. The mirror shows signs of its age and the wood has some scratches and some letters marks on the wood . If these are disturbing, it can probably be restored by a professional. As expected with a piece of this age, the mirror glass shows some light foxing and age-related blemishes, which only enhance its antique charm and authenticity.
