Coalport, established in 1795, was a renowned English pottery known for its high-quality china. 
In 1967, the Wedgwood Group acquired Coalport, and eventually, the Coalport name was phased out. 
However, the Countryware pattern continued production, initially under the Coalport brand, and later under the Wedgwood brand. 
Wedgwood discontinued the Countryware line around 2006.
