This striking platter/plate is in excellent condition. 

Produced by Alfred Meakin of Staffordshire, England in the 1950s it features an Oriental river scene in the centre. The platter is part of the Alfred Meakin 'Tonquin' series. Tonquin is a Vietnamese region.

The centre scene is surrounded by an attractive floral border. 

There are no cracks, chips or under glaze crazing.

A lovely and unusual piece for display or to add to your larder cupboard collection.
