Made in 1960 - These are a pair of vintage silver-plated pastry or cake serving tongs. One end has a flat, ornately pierced and engraved paddle, and the other end has a small fork. They are operated like scissors, with two finger loops for easy handling. You would use them to elegantly serve slices of cake, pastries, or sandwiches at the table without touching the food with your hands.
